Buses replace trains between Parliament and Burnley from 8:55pm to last service each night, Monday 14 April to Wednesday 16 April, due to maintenance works.

Allow extra time.

Replacement buses will stop at:

Parliament

At the Metro designated bus stop opposite Gordon reserve in Spring Street.

At the Metro designated bus stop near corner of Little Collins and Spring Streets (West end).

Richmond

Swan Street

Exit Richmond Station onto Swan Street, turn left and the designated bus stop is in 10 metres.

Swan Street

Exit Richmond Station on to Swan Street and turn right. Cross Swan Street at the tram stop and turn left, the designated bus stop is in 5 metres.

East Richmond

Swan Street, Tram Stop #11

Exit East Richmond Station on to Church Street. Turn left and walk 70 metres to Swan Street. Cross Swan Street at the pedestrian crossing and turn left. Continue to Metro Designated Bus Stop near Tram Stop #11.

Swan Street, Tram Stop #11

Exit East Richmond Station on to Church Street. Turn left and walk 70 metres to Swan Street. Turn right at Church Street and cross at the pedestrian crossing. Continue to Metro Designated Bus Stop located at Tram Stop #11.

Burnley

Burnley Street and Madden Grove

Exit Burnley Station and turn left via the underpass on to Madden Grove. Turn right and proceed to Burnley Street and turn left. Continue straight to Metro Designated Bus Stop directly ourside Athol J Brown Reserve

Travelling on rail-replacement bus services

Passengers with accessibillity needs are advised to contact their local train station in advance or ask staff at the replacement bus stops to organise travel.

For the safety and comfort of all passengers, there are restrictions on what you may take with you on buses.

You cannot:

  • Take a conventional bike on a bus or tram (only folding bikes that meet the size criteria).
  • Take an animal on a bus or tram unless it is in a suitable container. Exceptions apply for assistance dogs.
  • Take a surfboard on a tram or a bus.
