Buses replace trains between North Melbourne and Sunbury from service Monday 14 April to last service Tuesday 15 April, due to Metro Tunnel works. For more information, click here.
Travel to the City:
- Buses operate between Sunbury and North Melbourne, change at North Melbourne for a train to the City.
- Tottenham, West Footscray and Middle Footscray passengers take a replacement bus to Footscray, change at Footscray for train services to the City.
- Passengers boarding train services at Footscray for City Loop stations, change trains at North Melbourne for these services.
Travel from the City:
- Passengers for stations between Sunshine and Sunbury, take a train to North Melbourne, change at North Melbourne for a replacement bus to Sunbury.
- Tottenham, West Footscray and Middle Footscray passengers take a Werribee Williamstown train to Footscray, change at Footscray for replacement bus service.
Note - trains will run on Wednesday 16 April.

Travelling on rail-replacement bus services
Passengers with accessibility needs are advised to contact their local train station in advance or ask staff at the replacement bus stops to organise travel.
For the safety and comfort of all passengers, there are restrictions on what you may take with you on buses.
You cannot:
- Take a conventional bike on a bus or tram (only folding bikes that meet the size criteria).
- Take an animal on a bus or tram unless it is in a suitable container. Exceptions apply for assistance dogs.
- Take a surfboard on a tram or a bus.
