Already using a myki Pass?

We've made changes so you can travel further with your current myki Pass.

To access the full benefits of the new regional fares with your myki Pass, purchase a Zone 1–15 myki Pass which will allow you greater flexibility at the same cost as a Zone 1+2.

For current myki Pass holders (Zone 1+2), we’ve implemented the following changes to allow you to travel into regional areas for no additional charge:

If your myki is registered

When you purchase your myki Pass, you’ll receive a confirmation email from us. Use this confirmation email as your ticket.

When you travelling outside of your pass zones, do not touch on your myki. Present your email to a station staff member to enter and exit the station, or to a train conductor or Authorised Officer if requested.

You will still need to carry your myki and present it with the email (electronic or hard copy) if requested.

If your myki is unregistered

You’ll need to collect a V/Line supplementary ticket to enable you to travel. This ticket will allow you to travel throughout Victoria for the duration of your myki Pass.

Present your myki at one of the following locations to collect your V/Line supplementary ticket.

  • staffed V/Line stations
  • a V/Line ticket agent—to find your nearest agent, visit the V/Line website
  • selected metropolitan premium stations (off-peak times only at some stations).

When travelling outside of your pass zones, do not touch on your myki.

Present your V/Line supplementary ticket to a station staff member to enter and exit the station, or to a train conductor or Authorised Officer if requested.

You will still need to travel with your myki and present it with your V/Line supplementary ticket if requested.

Travelling outside your myki Pass zones

Travel outside of your purchased zones to regional areas at no extra cost if your myki Pass is valid for travel in:

  • Zones 1+2
  • Zone 1 and a regional Zone, or
  • 4 or more regional Zones.

Touch on and off with your myki and use myki Money for additional travel if your myki Pass is valid for:

  • Zone 2 only, or
  • 3 or fewer regional Zones
