Bus route changes for Bacchus Marsh
From Sunday 7 July 2024, Routes 433 and 435 will be combined into one route and renamed Route 433 Maddingley – Darley via Bacchus Marsh Station.
The new Route 433 will run as a loop through Maddingley, Bacchus Marsh and Darley, creating better connections between these suburbs and improving access to shops, jobs, aged care and medical facilities. It will extend to Stonehill Estate in Maddingley, offering 25 daily services.
A shortened version of Route 433 will run between Maddingley, Stonehill Estate, Hillview Estate and Bacchus Marsh Station. This service will operate 10 times per day on weekends and public holidays, connecting with trains at Bacchus Marsh Station. This shortened trip will run in addition to the regular weekend service between Maddingley and Darley.
Route 433 will replace Route 435 through Darley, with some minor changes. Passengers who use Route 435 can use Route 433 instead.
Changes in Darley:
- Route 433 will no longer service Taylor Drive, Jonathan Drive and Hodgson Street.
- Instead, it will run via Davies Street and Grey Street.
- Passengers can use nearby stops on Davis Street and Nelson Street.
Changes in Maddingley:
- Route 433 will no longer service Harry Vallence Drive, Duval Drive, Ethan Street, Dewar Crescent and Doolan Street.
- Instead, it will run via Griffith Street, Bacchus Marsh-Balliang Road and Darcy Street.
- Passengers can use nearby stops on Griffith Street and Darcy Street.
- Seven new bus stops will open in Stonehill Estate.
Service frequency and operating hours will remain similar across Maddingley, Bacchus Marsh and Darley and will connect with most trains at Bacchus Marsh Station.
