New bus service between Mernda and Craigieburn stations
From Sunday 31 October 2021, new bus Route 390 will connect people living in Mernda and Wollert with train services at Mernda and Craigieburn.
Route 390 Mernda Station to Craigieburn Station via Wollert will give west Mernda residents access to public transport and connect them to Craigieburn or Mernda rail services and the nearby retail district for the first time.
The bus route will operate seven days a week and run every 30 minutes during weekday peak periods and every 40 minutes at other times and on weekends.
The new service will also benefit Mernda Central P-12 College and Gilson College’s Mernda campus students.
Route 390 will use the existing bus interchange at Mernda Station. At Craigieburn Station the bus will terminate at the new stop on Potter Street. When travelling to Craigieburn the bus will travel past the station along Potter Street to turn around before returning and terminate at Craigieburn Station, on the west side of Potter Street.
The bus bays at Mernda Station have been re-organised with the introduction of Route 390 to provide a better passenger experience for everyone. Please check the signage at the bus bays for changes.
Route 390 – Mernda Station – Craigieburn Station via Wollert travels from Mernda Station bus interchange and travels via Bridge Inn Road, Breadalbane Avenue, Leonardo Drive, Regent Street, Sackville Street, Bridge Inn Road, Epping Road, Craigieburn Road, Craigieburn Road East, bus will then travel down Potter Street to the roundabout 900m south of the Station and make a U-Turn, terminating at Craigieburn Railway Station. It travels the same journey in reverse.
