Route and timetable changes for Route 624

From Sunday 11 April 2021, bus Route 624 - Kew - Oakleigh via Caulfield, Carnegie, Darling and Chadstone - will be altered to run through Power Avenue in Chadstone to provide a safer and more reliable service. The timetable will reflect changed journey times and will coordinate with the new train timetable at Oakleigh Station.

Combined, the route change and new timetable will improve punctuality and efficiency of Route 624 services.

The route change will see Route 624 travel through Power Avenue, taking a section of the bus route out of narrow streets in Chadstone including Amaroo Street, Carramar Street, Euroka Street, Bolwarra Street and Moorrong Street.

Power Avenue is wider, safer, and more suited to bus transport.

Five new accessible bus stops are being built on Power Avenue.
