Sounds like you’re keen to change up your commute. If you’re down to save on parking and give gridlock the swerve, head to campus by tram, train or bus – or a little combo.
La Trobe Uni, Bundoora
- Your nearest tram stop is Plenty Rd on the Route 86.
- There are so many buses to get you to campus, like the 250, 301, 350, 548, or the 566.
- The train will get you to Reservoir Station, where you can catch the 301 bus for a quick connection to campus (only runs during semester) or the 561 bus. From Heidelberg Station, you can catch the 551.
Victoria Uni, Footscray Park
- Your nearest tram stop is on Droop St for the 82.
- The best bus to get to campus is the 406 and 409 along Ballarat Rd, or the 472 along Farnsworth Ave.
- Your nearest station is Footscray Station, and then the free shuttle bus will take you all the way to campus – win!
Swinburne Uni, Hawthorn
- Tram 16 is the best to get you to Swinburne.
- The best bus to get to campus is the 624 along Auburn Rd.
- The closest train station is Glenferrie, but you can also walk to campus from Hawthorn or Auburn stations.
Deakin Uni, Waurn Ponds
- There are plenty of buses to choose from including the 1, 40, 41, 42 and 43.
- The train will get you to Waurn Ponds Station, and campus is a 30min stroll from there.
RMIT CBD
- Most north-south trams run along Swanston Street (routes 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 16, 64, 67 and 72). The best buses to get to campus are the 200 and the 207.
- Students are spoilt for choice, with 7 train lines stopping at Melbourne Central Station just a short walk away.
