Tram timetable changes in April 2025
From 14 April 2025, there will be timetable and journey time changes for tram routes 1, 3, 5, 6, 11, 12, 16, 48, 64, 67, 70, 72, 75, and 109.
The new timetable will improve tram punctuality and match traffic and travel times better, giving passengers a more reliable service.
What’s changing?
- We’re increasing Friday and weekend services on routes 48, 70 and 75.
- Trams will run every 15 minutes until 11pm on Friday and Saturday nights for routes 48, 70 and 75, reducing wait times and making it easier to enjoy the city’s vibrant nightlife.
- Routes 48, 70 and 75 pass by the MCG and Melbourne Park precinct, complementing the extra special event trams that run when major events are on.
- Services will be increased on Sunday morning on routes 70 and 75 to alleviate crowding issues.
- The revised journey times for routes 1, 3, 5, 6, 11, 12, 16, 48, 64, 67, 70, 72, 75, and 109 will give passengers a more consistent service.
