Anzac Day 2025

A number of events are being held throughout Melbourne and Victoria to commemorate Anzac Day on Friday 25 April 2025.

We’re running extra trams, trains and buses to get you to the 2025 Melbourne Dawn Service.

You can also catch a free PTV shuttle bus from selected RSLs and locations around Melbourne. You can travel one way or return. This service is available to all members of the public. The shuttles run from 4am and arrive at the Shrine by 5.45am.

Bookings must be made in advance. You can book here or call 1800 800 007 to book. Bookings close 2pm Thursday 24 April.

Following the Dawn Service, all buses depart from the Shrine at 7am and 7:30am, from the drop-off location in Birdwood Avenue.

If you’re joining the Anzac Day March or want to travel back to the city after the service, you can catch one of the free buses running between the Shrine to Russell Street from 8am to 2pm.

Veterans and War Widows travel for free on Victoria’s public transport network from first service Thursday 24 April to last service Saturday 26 April.

Australian Defence Force members, Scouts, Guides and school students in uniform participating in Anzac Day activities can also travel for free on Anzac Day, 25 April.
