Getting to and from the Avalon Airshow
The Australian International Airshow returns to Avalon Airport from Friday 28 March until Sunday 30 March.
Extra V/Line services will run on the Geelong Line to help get you to and from the Airshow. Dedicated shuttle buses will run between Lara Station and the airshow, connecting with Geelong Line trains. Shuttle buses will have priority access when travelling between Lara Station and the Airshow.
The show opens to Industry Professionals and Trade Visitors from Tuesday 25 March until Friday 28 March.
Before you travel
myki is your ticket to travel via public transport to and from the Airshow in 2025. A valid myki or long-distance ticket (paper or electronic) is required to travel for your entire journey to the Airshow.
Regional fare cap makes travelling to the Airshow easier, with fares capped at $11 on weekdays and $7.60 or $3.80 concession on weekends.
There will be changes to road conditions in Lara and Lara Station during the event which will impact on regular bus services and car parking around Lara Station. There will be no parking available at Lara Station, and more traffic than normal in the area with people attending the Airshow.
If you normally park and catch a train from Lara Station, please consider using North Shore or Wyndham Vale while the event is on. Please see below for further information on service changes for buses in Lara.

Passengers can catch regular V/Line train services to Lara Railway Station and connect with the V/Line shuttle bus to the airshow.
Getting from the Airshow
Passengers can catch a V/Line shuttle bus from the airshow and connect with regular V/Line trains services at Lara Station. Shuttles run regularly throughout the day until the event concludes.

Passengers can catch regular V/Line train services to Lara Railway Station and connect with the V/Line shuttle bus to the airshow.
Extra V/Line train services will run every 10 minutes between 7:00am and 10:30am on Saturday and Sunday only.
Getting from the Airshow
Passengers can catch a V/Line shuttle bus from the airshow and connect with V/Line trains at Lara Station. Shuttles run regularly throughout the day until the event concludes.
Extra V/Line train services will run every 10 minutes between the following times:
- 7pm to 8:30pm (Friday)
- 3:30pm to 8pm (Saturday and Sunday)
