Regional train fares
View the cost of train trips to regional parts of Victoria.
You may need more than one type of ticket to complete your journey.
Use your myki within the regional train network’s myki zones (PDF) 166 KB . For some regional trips, you may need a paper ticket.

An asterisk (*) in the tables below indicate that seniors also receive free travel on weekends in certain circumstances. Read more on concessions and free travel passes.
Extend your 2-hour fare
Your ‘2-hour’ fare will last longer if you’re using myki Money and you travel across more than two zones.

Regional-only V/Line train fares
Use these fares if you’re travelling on a V/Line train that doesn’t go within myki zones.
You can buy single (one-way), return, and weekly tickets.
This applies to trips between Melbourne and:
- Ararat or Beaufort (Ballarat line)
- Echuca or Swan Hill (Bendigo line)
- Colac or Warrnambool (Geelong line)
- Bairnsdale or Sale (Gippsland line)
- Shepparton or Albury/Wodonga (Seymour line).
